About these terms

These terms apply when you use Learn to Drive California, run by Aston Creative. By using the site, you agree to them.

Information, not official advice

Our guides summarize California DMV rules in plain English, and our office pages are built from public data. We work to keep them accurate, but we're not the DMV and we're not affiliated with or endorsed by it. Rules, office details and roads change, so always check the DMV's own information before your test. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and using it doesn't guarantee you'll pass.

Practice routes

• Our practice routes are loops we planned from map data. They aren't official DMV test routes.
• Only drive them if you're allowed to drive, with a licensed supervising driver where the law requires one.
• Always obey traffic laws, signs, signals and road conditions, which may differ from our maps and directions.
• Don't use your phone while driving. Set up any directions before you set off, or have a passenger handle them.
• You're responsible for driving safely and legally.

Data from others

Map data comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is available under the Open Database License. Crash data is published by the California Highway Patrol, and office locations by the California DMV. This data can contain errors or gaps, and we can't guarantee it's complete or current.

Affiliate links

We're an affiliate of the Driving Test Routes app and earn a commission if you subscribe through our links. The app is run by its own developer, under its own terms, prices and offers. We don't control the app, its routes or its subscriptions.

Links to other sites

We link to sites such as the California DMV, Google Maps and app stores. We're not responsible for their content or how they work.

Our content

The design, text and graphics on this site belong to us, apart from third-party data credited on each page. You're welcome to share links to our pages and print guides for your own use. Please don't copy our pages to publish elsewhere.

Liability

We provide the site as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or harm from using it, including from relying on its routes, maps, data or guides. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes and contact
