Privacy PolicyWhat we collect, and what we don't

Last updated October 6, 2026

Who we are

Learn to Drive California ("we", "us") is run by Aston Creative. We're responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can contact us at info@astoncreative.com.

The short version

  • You don't need an account, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • We don't sell or share your personal information.
  • We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • "Use my location" works inside your browser. Your location isn't sent to us.

What we collect

Server logs

Like most websites, our web host automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. We use it to keep the site running securely, and it's kept for a limited period by our host.

Your location

If you choose "Use my location" on the office map, your browser asks for your permission first. Your location is used only on your device to sort offices by distance. It isn't sent to us or stored.

Tools on our pages

Checklists, the practice scorer, the retake date calculator and similar tools run in your browser. What you enter isn't sent to us.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and we delete them when they're no longer needed.

Other companies

  • App store links. Our links to the Driving Test Routes app include an affiliate code so we can be credited if you subscribe. When you follow one, the App Store, Google Play and the app's developer handle your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Google Maps. "Directions" and "Open in Google Maps" links take you to Google, which handles your information under its own privacy policy.
  • Fonts. Our pages load a typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads.

Children

Our site is for learner drivers, including teenagers. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Because we collect so little, there's usually nothing we can link to you, but email us and we'll help.

California residents

We don't sell or share personal information as defined by California law, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.

UK and EU visitors

We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website for server logs, and on your consent for location. You can complain to your local data protection authority, which in the UK is the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, such as adding website analytics, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
